Have you ever been invited to a banquet, set up under a large tent at the side of the road? The type of banquet used to have an appeal to the nearby shops to do their businesses at vendor carts, and neighbors to talk listlessly over village gossip on benches. Furthermore, it was a great playground for children. Many locals have fond memories of it.In the past, the shop owners at Dadaocheng would pitch in to support the leading teams of Xia-hai City-God Temple's processions and other religious ceremonies every year. At the night, they would join forces to put up a tent, set up big tables, and have food cooked on location by a chef, the person in charge of every aspect of the meal. It's their way to thank their hardworking employees and faithful customers.

Unfortunately, this tradition has been lost since 1975. 40 years later, we hope to revive the unforgettable tradition. We plan to host a roadside banquet in front of ten shops on the Dihua street. The head of Guozi Street and many local residents will prepare rice dishes for travelers from all over the world. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the unique and authentic roadside banquet culture.
